Installation
1. Loosen the screws located beneath the front cover
to remove the front plates (1).
2. Remove the screws located behind the back door
to remove the back plates (2).
3. Gently slide out the transportation beams from be-
neath the machine.
4. Store the transportation beams for future use.

Inform the customer that large metal objects and electric in-
stallations close to the Arcam EBM machine can interfere
with the calibration. The area around the machine, a mini-
mum of 2
2..5 5 m me ettrre ess (8.2 feet) from the centre of the electron
beam column, should be kept static in respect of moving
equipment and utilities while the build process is active.
1. Verify that the ambient temperature is

2. Verify that the air humidity is < < 6 60 0 % % relative, non-
condensing. Preferably, humidity should be kept
