IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, 
including the following:

• 

Read all instructions.

• 

To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse body mixer or cord in 
the water or other liquid. If body mixer or cord falls into liquid, unplug the cord from 
outlet immediately. Do not reach into the liquid.

• 

Close supervision is necessary when mixer is used by or near children.

• 

Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before 
cleaning.

• 

Avoid contacting moving parts.Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and 
other utensils away from beaters or dough hooks during operation to reduce risk of 
injury to persons, and/or damage to the mixer.

• 

Keep hands and utensils out of container to reduce the risk of injury to persons or 
damage the mixer.

• 

Do  not  operate  appliance  with  a  damaged  cord  or  plug,  or  after  the  appliance 
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free customer 
assistance number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.

• 

The  use  of  accessories  or  services  not  recommended  or  provided  by  the 
manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock or injury.

• 

Do not use outdoors or in a damp area.

• 

Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

• 

Remove the beaters or dough hooks from mixer before washing.

• 

Do not place mixer on or near a hot burner (gas or electric).

• 

Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

• 

Do not continuously use the mixer longer than 5 minutes at one time.

• 

Do not fill the mixing container more than 90% of its capacity.

• 

Do not mix hot ingredients.

• 

Never add to container while appliance operating.

• 

The whisk should be used without any other attachment.
