Remove iron from power base. Using
a cup, slowly
pour 6 ounces
(

⁄

cup) of tap
water into water
tank opening.
Do not fill iron
directly from
the faucet.

Plug power base into outlet.
3.
Turn the Temperature Control Dial
to desired fabric setting in the steam
range.
4.
Allow
three
minutes for the iron to
reach desired temperature.
5.
Set Adjustable Steam Switch to the
recommended
steam level.

on page 4.
To Steam Iron
NOTE:
Do not attempt to fill iron while in power base.

To turn iron off, set Adjustable Steam
Switch to
O
(Dry Iron). Turn the
Temperature Control Dial to Off and
unplug iron from base.

Empty water from the iron following
directions in “Caring for Your Iron.”
NOTES
•
When first steaming from an empty
iron, up to 20 seconds may be needed
before the iron begins to steam.
• For best results, always return the iron
to the power base when not in use,
even if only for a few seconds.
Water
For best steam performance, use ordi-
nary tap water. If you have extremely
hard water, alternate between tap water
and distilled water for use in the iron.
