Swapping the battery pack
Battery packs can be “warm-swapped.” This means you can change battery
packs while in Suspend mode (Windows 95) or Standby mode
(Windows 98).
The backup battery that supports warm swapping has a limited power
supply (about ten minutes). Make the battery swap quickly to conserve the
backup battery power.
1.
Save all work.

If you are using Windows 98 click
Start
on the taskbar, then click
Shut
Down
,
Standby
, then
OK.
The system enters standby mode.
- OR -
If you are using Windows 95 or Windows NT click
Start
on the taskbar,
then
Suspend
. The system enters suspend mode.
- OR -
Shut down the system.

Close the LCD panel and turn your notebook over.
4.
Slide the battery release latch to release the battery pack.
To remove the battery pack
