Replacing the system board
To replace the system board:
1
Remove the side panel by following the instructions in
“Opening and closing the case” on page 39 .

Remove the hard drive bracket and set it aside (as far as
the hard drive cables will allow).

Remove the bezel by following the instructions in
“Removing and installing the front bezel” on page 40 .

Remove any expansion cards by following the
instructions in
“Adding or replacing an expansion card”
on page 50 .

Remove the fan assembly by following the instructions
in
“Replacing the front fan” on page 52 .
6
Disconnect the cables from the 5.25-inch component,
noting their locations and orientation. You will reconnect
the cables after you reinstall the component.
