A.3 MA-427 LAN Bridge Module Adapter
The MA-427 LAN Bridge module adapter (Figure A-12) provides a high performance, remote, self-
learning Ethernet bridge. This module adapter is ideal for cost-sensitive bridging applications or as a
LAN extender or segmenter over bit stream type infrastructures for the DS-64NC module or other
Intraplex data channel modules. The MA-427 adapter provides these features:

● Fully compatible with IEEE 802.3
● 10Base-T LAN interface with unshielded twisted pair (UTP) RJ-45
● Full- and half-duplex Ethernet application support
● Transparent simplex, half-duplex, or full duplex support on the WAN interface

● Switch-selectable filtering with 15,000 frames per second filtering and forwarding rate
