Alexa Housing Operation

Remote Lens Control (RLC) (Optional) 

The Alexa housing can be setup for remote control of lens functions.  This optional kit 
requires several items: 

 

Element Technica FIZ lens control kit.  

Purchased separately from 

ElementTechnica.  SKU 791-0464.  This contains the lens motors, Wireless Motor 
Driver (WMD) and hand controller.

 

 

Extended ALEXA housing battery shell.   

 

RLC bracket and cable kit 

that includes:

 

 

2x 15mm Rods 

 

2x 15mm Rod Mounts 

 

1x Mount plate for servo 
hardware 

 

3x Motor cables 

 

1x Power cable 

 

1x Bulkhead connector & 
cable 

(may already be 

installed in ALEXA housing).

 

 

1x Surface Control Cable.   

 

3x Lens Motor Bracket 

 

Spare o-ring & o-ring tool.

 

To setup the RLC into the ALEXA Housing: 

 

Install the Extended Battery Shell to the housing.  

Remove 6 screws from the 

inside of the back shell as shown

.  Ensure the o-ring is installed in the Extended 

Battery Shell 

during re-assembly with the ALEXA housing rear shell.
