End of Season Checklist
General Checklist
1. Wash Spreader clean of all fertiliser
product and dirt.
2. Grease all bearings and bushes.
3. Inspect hydraulic system for leaks or
damaged hoses.
4. Inspect the hydraulic motors at the shaft
end for oil leaks.
5. Check spinners for physical damage and
that they run reasonably true.
6. Check that the spinner fin wear pads are
in good condition and that the fastening
screws are all in place.
7. Check feed chain for damage. Rotate
jockey wheel to inspect entire chain. Look
for broken slats or stiff chain links.
8. Check that the tachometer is operating
correctly.
9. Check brushes at the front and rear of the
spreader are in place and undamaged.
10. Check that the shear bolts on the drive
shaft are all in place and functional.
It is recommended that when replacing parts
you use genuine components and fasteners
of the same grade as originally fitted.
