Activating launch control
Info
The launch control helps the rider to generate optimum motorcycle acceleration at the beginning of a race. The
maximum speed of the engine with the throttle valve fully opened (full throttle) is reduced. After the start, it is
gradually increased up to the maximum engine speed. The clutch must be operated exactly as it would be without
launch control activated.
Condition
The motorcycle is stationary.
The engine is running at idle speed.
The transmission is in neutral.

Info
The launch control is deactivated automatically for a few
seconds after the vehicle has started.
Launch control is also deactivated in the following cases: if
the throttle valve is closed more than 1/3 of the way after
full throttle, and/or if there is no start within 3 minutes.
For safety reasons, the engine must be switched off for at
least 10 seconds before the launch control can be activated
again, regardless of whether the vehicle has been started or
not.
If the engine has already been running for some time, the
engine must first be restarted before the launch control can
be activated.
