Device and Privacy Settings
To open the device settings, select Settings > Device .
About : Displays the software version number, the unit ID
number, and information on several other software features.
Status : Displays the battery status and hardware information.
EULAs : Displays the end-user license agreements.
NOTE: You need this information when you update the
system software or purchase additional map data.
Travel History : Allows the device to record information for the
myTrends ™ , Where I’ve Been, and Trip Log features.
Clear Travel History : Clears your travel history for the
myTrends, Where I’ve Been, and Trip Log features.
Legal Information : Displays software license information.
Adding Accounts
You can add accounts to your device to synchronize email,
appointments, and other data.

Select Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account .

Select an account type.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
Restoring Settings
You can restore a category of settings or all settings to the
factory default values.

Updating Maps and Software for the RV HUB Remote
You can use Garmin Express software to download and install
the latest map and software updates for your RV HUB remote.
Garmin Express is available for Windows
®
and Mac
®
computers.
1 On your computer, go to garmin.com/express , and follow the
instructions to download and install the Garmin Express
software.

Start Garmin Express.

Connect your RV HUB remote to your computer using a USB
cable.
4 From Garmin Express, click Add a Device .
The Garmin Express software detects your device.
5 Click Add Device .

Follow the on-screen instructions to register your device and
add it to the Garmin Express software.
When setup is complete, the Garmin Express software
searches for map and software updates for your device.

Select an option:
• To install all available updates, click Install All .
• To install a single update, click View Details and select an
update.
NOTE: If a map update is too large for the internal storage of
the device, the software may prompt you to install a microSD
card in your device to add storage space ( Installing a
Memory Card for Maps and Data , page 19 ).
The Garmin Express software downloads and installs the
updates onto your device. Map updates are very large, and this
process may take a long time on slower Internet connections.
Updating Software for the RV HUB Dock
To update the software for the RV HUB dock, you must use a
USB flash drive to download and install the update.

Prepare the USB flash drive ( Preparing a USB Flash Drive
for Updates , page 17 ).

Connect the USB flash drive to your computer, and download
the software updates using Garmin Express ( Downloading
Software Updates to the Prepared USB Flash Drive ,
page 17 ).

Install the software updates from the USB flash drive onto the
dock ( Installing Downloaded Updates onto the RV HUB
Dock , page 18 ).
Preparing a USB Flash Drive for Updates
To download software updates onto a USB flash drive, you must
prepare it. This allows the Garmin Express software to
recognize the USB flash drive and deliver the correct software
for the dock.

Turn on the vehicle, and place the RV HUB remote in the
RV HUB dock.
The dock must be receiving power to prepare the USB flash
drive.
WARNING
Do not attempt to update the software while operating the
vehicle.

Select an option:
• Locate the media USB port in your vehicle.

• Locate the 2.1 A USB port on the back of the RV HUB
dock.

Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port.
4 Select Music > > Settings > Update > Create Card .
A message appears when the dock has finished preparing
the USB flash drive to receive the software updates.
After the USB flash drive is prepared, you should remove the
flash drive and download the software updates using Garmin
Express ( Downloading Software Updates to the Prepared USB
Flash Drive , page 17 ).
Downloading Software Updates to the Prepared USB Flash
Drive
Before you can download software updates to a USB flash drive,
you must prepare the drive ( Preparing a USB Flash Drive for
Updates , page 17 ).

3 Plug the prepared USB flash drive into a USB port on your
computer.
