Panning and Zooming the Map

From the home page, press   or 

 to scroll through the widget glances. 

Select Navigation, and scroll to the map.
Press OK to open the options menu.
Select Pan/Zoom Map.
Select an option:

• To toggle between panning up and down, panning left and right, or zooming, press OK.
• To pan or zoom the map, press   and  .
• To quit, press 

.

Changing the Map Orientation

From the home page, press   or 

 to scroll through the widget glances. 

Select Navigation, and scroll to the map.
Press OK to open the options menu.
Select an option:

• Select North Up to show north at the top of the map.
• Select Track Up to show your current direction of travel at the top of the map.

Setting the Compass Heading

From the home page, press   or 

 to scroll through the widget glances. 

Select Navigation, and scroll to the compass.
Press OK to open the options menu.
Select Lock Heading.
Point the top of the device toward your heading, and press OK.

When you deviate from the heading, the compass displays the direction from the heading and the degree of 
deviation.

Calibrating the Compass

NOTICE

Calibrate the electronic compass outdoors. To improve heading accuracy, do not stand near objects that 
influence magnetic fields, such as vehicles, buildings, and overhead power lines.

If you experience irregular compass behavior, for example, after moving long distances or after extreme 
temperature changes, you can manually calibrate the compass.
From the home page, press   or 

 to scroll through the widget glances. 

Select Navigation, and scroll to the compass.
Press OK to open the options menu.
Select Calibrate.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Sharing Your Current Location

From the home page, press   or 

 to scroll through the widget glances. 

Select Navigation, and scroll to your GPS coordinates.
Press OK to open the options menu.
Select Share With to send your location details as text within a message.
