USE 22 AWG WIRE FOR AIRCRAFT POWER AND AIRCRAFT GROUND. ALL OTHER WIRES 24
AWG OR LARGER UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

FOR 14 Vdc INSTALLATIONS, THE USE OF TWO AIRCRAFT POWER AND TWO AIRCRAFT
GROUND CONTACTS IN THE CONNECTOR IS RECOMMENDED FOR EACH POWER BUS
CONNECTION. 28 Vdc INSTALLATIONS ONLY REQUIRE ONE AIRCRAFT POWER AND ONE
AIRCRAFT GROUND CONTACT IN THE CONNECTOR FOR EACH POWER BUS CONNECTION.
3.
EXTERNAL SUPPRESSION (P2301-31) SENDS AND ACCEPTS POSITIVE-GOING SUPPRESSION
PULSES TO/FROM OTHER EQUIPMENT THAT TRANSMITS OR RECEIVES IN THE L-BAND.
EXAMPLES OF THIS EQUIPMENT INCLUDE ANOTHER TRANSPONDER, A DME, AND A TCAS.
SUPPRESSION PULSES MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL MODELS OF EQUIPMENT.
KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES INCLUDE THE BENDIX/KING KN 62, KN 64, AND KNS 80.
4.
ROUTE THE ANTENNA CABLE AS FAR AS PRACTICAL FROM ANY HARNESS BUNDLE. IN NO
CASE SHOULD THE ANTENNA CABLE BE PLACED INTO A HARNESS BUNDLE. MAXIMUM
COAXIAL CABLE LOSS IS 1.5 DB AT 1090 MHZ.
