Twilight Adjustment

Highway Page

Compass Page
—indicates whether the Compass Page appears in the

Backlight Intensity
—turns the backlight up or down. Press right on
the
ROCKER
to increase the intensity or left to decrease.
Sound Tab
Use the Sound tab to customize the sounds made by your
GPSMAP 278.

—set the beeper to chime during key presses and

—allows the unit to average speed readings. Choose

Text Language
—sets the unit’s on-screen language.
EGNOS
—allows you to enable or disable EGNOS.
External Power Off
—indicates whether the GPSMAP 278 remains
on (
Stay On)
or the unit turns off (
Turn Off)
when external power
is removed from the unit.
External Power On
—indicates whether to turn on the
GPSMAP 278 (
Turn On
) or charge the battery

Charge Battery
)
when external power is applied to the unit.
