Tips and Shortcuts
Select
Home
from any screen to return to the Home screen.
Select
Menu
from any main screen to access additional settings.
Press and release the
Power
key to adjust the Backlight and Color Mode display settings.
Press and hold the
Power
key to turn on or off the chartplotter.
Manual Conventions
In this manual, when you are instructed to select an item, either press the soft key along the right
side of the screen (GPSMAP 6000 series units) or use your finger to touch that item on the screen
(GPSMAP 7000 series units) to select it. Small arrows (>) in the text indicate that you should select
each item in order. For example, if you see “select
