transponder should be in Altitude Reporting (ALT) mode.

If filing a flight plan or requesting ATC services, do not
use Anonymous Mode.

OFF - Turned off or no power
Do not transmit.
STBY (standby)
Do not transmit.
ON - Non-altitude reporting
Do not provide pressure
altitude information.
ALT (altitude reporting)
Provide all required
information.
ENABLE ANONYMOUS MODE
1. Set the Anonymous Mode switch to the enabled position.
2. Set the transponder to squawk VFR code 1200.
OPTIONAL ADS-B OUT FAIL ANNUNCIATOR
An illuminated annunciator lamp indicates the unit is not
transmitting ADS-B Out messages. Or, messages do not contain
all required information.
