Searching Around a Reference Waypoint

Use this function to search for the 20 nearest waypoints of each type (including airspaces)
within 600 miles of a reference waypoint selected from the database. This can be used as
an aid to flight planning.

Large

 knob to view “Choose

Waypoint to Search Around” and press

ENTER

 Choose Wpt to
 Search Around

2. The waypoint type will flash. Turn the

Small

knob to choose Airport, VOR, NDB,

Intersection (INT) or User waypoint type.

3. Turn the

knob to the waypoint identifier name. The first character of the

identifier will flash. Turn the

 knob to

select the next character  to change.

5. Turn the

Small

knob to view the nearest 20 waypoints of the selected type to the

you want to insert a waypoint. For instance, if you press NRST and look at
PDX, the next time you want to insert a waypoint into a flight plan, PDX will
show first.
