Use these operating instructions to familiarise yourself with the Valve Box, its proper
use and the notes on safety.

who are not familiar with these operating instructions should not use this Valve Box.
Persons with reduced physical or mental abilities may use the product only if they are
supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children must be supervised to ensure

1. Where to Use Your GARDENA Valve Box
The Valve Boxes are intended for installing GARDENA Watering
Valves underground.
The watering system can be controlled in the following ways:
Watering Valve Art. 1251 (9 V):

Direct valve programming with the
Programming Unit Art.

is ideal for decentralised valve installation with

Watering Valve Art. 1278 (24 V)*:

Up to 12 Watering Valves can be controlled via cables using the
Watering Controller 4040 Art. 1276 / Expansion Module 2040

and the
Connection Cable Art. 1280

* Only available on selected markets.
