OPERATING YOUR CULTIVATOR

NORMAL OPERATION

The clutch will transfer maximum power to the unit’s tines after approximately 2 hours of

normal operation. During this break-in period, clutch slippage may occur. The unit’s clutch

should be kept free of all oil and other moisture to ensure efficientoperation.

When cultivating, do not place excessive body weight on the unit. The unit will operate most

efficiently with the use of its own weight.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE

To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning (also see engine safety precautions) always move the

unit outdoors to a well-ventilated area before starting.

Always be aware of gas vapors and exhaust fumes. Before starting the engine, make sure it is

away from open flames or sparks.

Make sure the air filter holes and the fuel tank area are free of debris.
