Theory of operation
The MMC Ethernet - TCP/IP module contains a 32-bit processor to handle
TCP/IP, PPP (future), and Ethernet protocols. It allows you to use the
Ethernet network architecture and the TCP/IP standard set of protocols to
communicate and access other modules, computers, or the Internet and its
resources. The design is based on the IEEE 802.3 specifications. The data
rate is 10 Mbps. The diagram below provides an overview.
