FUNCTION & PURPOSE
This unit is intended to hold containers of hot soup at the proper serving temperature.
It is NOT intended to cook raw soup or reheat prepared food.
OPERATION
1. Place the Soup Kettle on a flat, stable surface.
2. Always follow soup manufacturer’s instruction to prepare soup. Soup can be mixed in a
separate container or directly in the food insert. Never move or carry the entire kettle when
hot or full. Cold food is not to be added to unit for re-heating while hot food is being held.
3. Fill the well with 2.4 liters of water. Do not overfill the well. Do not operate this unit without
water in the well.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD.
DO NOT FILL W ITH MORE THAN 2.4 LITERS OF WATER. IF
LEVEL IS TOO HIGH. WATER MAY OVERFLOW WHEN THE
SOUP CONTAINER IS INSERTED. THE OVERFLOW COULD
ENTER THE ELECTRICAL COMPARTMENT AND CAUSE A
SHORT CIRCUIT OR ELECTRIC SHOCK.
3. Plug cord into a 220 - 240V, 10 Amp electrical outlet.
4. Preheat the water in the well by covering the well with an empty soup kettle or cover and
then set the heat control to the maximum heat setting. Pre - heat for 30 minutes.
5. Place stainless steel soup insert of
hot soup
into the Soup Kettle. To prevent spills, do not
over fill the Soup Kettle.

HOT FOOD HOLDING
- Reduce the setting of the knob by 1/4 and monitor soup
temperatures closely for food safety. The
United States Public Health Service
recommends that food be held at a minimum of 140°F (60°C)(and/or in compliance with the
local health codes) to help prevent bacterial growth. Maintain water level at 2.4 liters.
Periodically (approximately every 2 hours) remove container of soup and check the water
level. Add hot water if needed. Adjust up or down as required by the soup type for safe
temperature.
