Connecting keyboard and mouse of consoles and other devices
Keyb./Mouse:
Connect the mouse and/or the keyboard of the console to this interface.
Generic:
In the default settings, you can use this interface to connect another USB
input device, a supported display or tablet, or a USB mass storage device.
Activate the
generic USB
mode (see
(De)Activating an USB keyboard mode the »Generic
on page 86) if you want to connect another USB input device or USB
mass storage device. In this mode, any data of the USB device is
not altered
when trans-
mitted to the computer module.
Keyb./Mouse:
Connect the PS/2 keyboard or the PS/2 mouse of the console.
NOTE:
Both the keyboard and the mouse of the console can either be PS/2 or USB
devices.
IMPORTANT:
If the
generic USB
mode is active, the OSD
cannot
be operated by a
keyboard connected to the
Generic
socket.
IMPORTANT:
This product allows simultaneous use of up to
three
GenericUSB
devices via a console module. For this, both the used console module and the
used computer module must support the us of up to
three
GenericUSB devices.
For this purpose, UG variants of the compatible
VisionXS-IP series
are available.
NOTE:
There is
one
Generic
interface on the console module. You need a USB hub
or a USB composite device to connect
two
or
three
GenericUSB devices.
The two
Keyb./Mouse
interfaces cannot be used for
generic USB
mode.
ADVICE:
Use the adapter
MD6M-2xMD6F
(A6400043) to use a PS/2 keyboard and a
USB mouse at the same time.
