4.10.1 Assigning Module IDs
When installing a hardware module (see Table 4.5 for list of compatible SBUS devices), you must use the DIP switches on the module to
assign an ID# to the module. Figure 4.20 shows all possible DIP switch positions and their correlation to a numerical ID. Address 0 is an
invalid address and cannot be used. For example, to select ID 2, place DIP switch 2 in the up position.
Refer to Section 6.2 to edit, add, delete, and view module list.
4.10.2 Communication Protocol
DIP switch 7 on the is used to determine the communication protocol of the device. Set DIP switch 7 to ON for SBUS protocol. This switch
must stay in the ON position for proper functionality.
4.10.3 End-of-Line Resistor
The end-of-line termination resistor must be enabled at S1 DIP switch 8 on the last device on the communication circuit. All other annunci-
ators should have these switches set to disable.
