alarm/behavior, the second pair of entries be used to
specify Line 2 alarm behavior, etc.
The system default configured at the factory for Line 1
parameter
display
(see Section 4.4.2) is
Primary parameter
only, Steady display
The system default configured at the factory for the
Alarm
Display Method
for Line 1 is Steady.
If these settings are left unchanged and the Primary
parameter for Line 1 goes into alarm, there will be no
visual
indication of the alarm on the LCD because the
“in alarm”
behavior is identical to the normal operating behavior.
It is critical to ensure that the non-alarm visual behavior and
the in-alarm visual behavior are configured differently for
each line. If the two states are configured identically, no
visual indication of alarm status will be provided via the
LCD.
The alarm status
does
override the primary/secondary
alternating display configuration when either the Primary or
Secondary parameter for that line is in alarm, switching the
display behavior for that line to what has been selected in
the Alarms Display submenu for that line.
The display method/behavior of a parameter in alarm is
shown in Table 4.4.
Alarm Display Method Behavior/Description
Steady
The measured value of the
parameter in Alarm will steadily
display on the given line until the
alarm is cleared
Blinking
The measured value of the
parameter in Alarm will blink on
the given line until the alarm is
cleared
Alternating
The measured value of the
parameter in Alarm and the
PRIMARY parameter configured
for that line in the Display Setup
will alternate display on the given
line until the alarm is cleared
