The ON/OFF motor driven 3-way VK valve kit connected to the control panel for FLAT fan coils, controls the room temperature by stopping the water flow
through the heat exchanger.
VK kit is available in various configurations for all models of éstro fan coils with standard or additional DF heat exchanger, as shown in the table below:
The actuator must be connected to the control panel to be selected, according to the type of installation, among the following types
When coupled to microprocessor controls (MYCOMFORT, LED503), place the temperature sensor in the trap provided.
The kit includes:
Brass 3-way valve / 4 connections
with built-in by-pass, maximum operating pressure 16 bar;
Electrothermal ON/OFF actuator featuring:
- power supply: 230 V
- ON/OFF function
- total opening time: 4 minutes
Plumbing kit
for installing the valve on the heat exchanger, complete with 2 regulators for balancing and regulating the fan coil unit.
Cable bushing , for the passage of the actuator cables inside the fan coil.
Pressure drops of the valve/hydraulic kit assembly are calculated using the following formula:

INSTALLATION
1.
Remove the cabinet.
2.
The VK ON/OFF 3-way motor driven valve kit must be installed before making the electrical connection of the fan coil.
WARNING:
- In the case of fan coils for 4 pipe installations (2 heat exchangers), DF heat exchanger must be installed with plumbing connections on the same side as the standard
heat exchanger. In that case, install the valve of the standard heat exchanger first and then the 1 row DF additional heat exchanger.
The valve kit, both for standard heat exchanger and additional heat exchanger, is the same for fan coils with left hand and right hand plumbing connections.
Connect the kit to the heat exchanger using a suitable seal (teflon or hemp). The various connections composing the kit should be mounted using the seals and the
accessory supplied (o-ring or paper packing).
An omnipolar mains isolator in overvoltage category III must be present for every fan coil in the power supply line.
3.
Install the hydraulic connections as shown in the diagrams of figures 1 and 2 where:

Let the actuator cable pass through the hole with membrane cable bushing, fasten it to the cable clamp on the fan volute (figure 4 C), and reach the electrical
connection side (opposite to plumbing connections) - see figure 4 D.
5.
Let the water probe and the MYCOMFORT, LED503 control (when used in combination) pass through the same cable bushing.
6.
Make the electrical connections to the control panel.
7.
Reapply the cabinet.
