On/Off Switch (SW5)
Power ON/OFF switch

Battery Gauge EN (J11)
Enables the battery gauge function. Removing the
jumper allows ADC0 and GPIO10 to be used for other
purposes.

USB Serial Port (J17)
Serial port for flash program and debug terminal I/O

Restore Button (SW1)
Push button to restore previous firmware image if
pressed while the RESET button is released or power is
switched on, provided the PROGRAM button isn’t
pressed at the same time. If the PROGRAM button is
pressed, as well, the GS2K will enter program mode
with UART0 configured to 921K baud, rather than the
default 115.2K baud. This button is available for other
uses once the application code is running.

I/O Enable Jumpers (J10)
Peripheral Enable Jumpers. Install jumper to enable
signal on peripheral connector(s). Only install jumpers
as needed to avoid hardware conflicts.

Program Button (SW2)
Push button to put the module in PROGRAM mode if
pressed while the RESET button is released or power is
switched on. This button is available for other uses once
the application code is running.

Wake Button (SW3)
Push button to provide a wake-up alarm when the GS2K
is in hibernate mode or standby mode.

UART Peripheral Port (J6)
Pmod UART compatible connector. Configurable to
connect to UART0 or UART1. See

I2C Peripheral Port (J7)
Pmod I2C compatible connector. Provides both I2C
signals as well as power ground and alarm connections
to easily connect an power an I2C device. See

Test Points (TP2, TP3)
Power Measurement Test Points. Connect a voltmeter or
scope here to measure power consumed by the

SPI Peripheral Port (J8)
Pmod SPI compatible connector. Configurable for SPI
master or slave modes. See
