Introduction

GAI-Tronics Centra-Page system provides dependable paging and party line communications for rugged
and hazardous industrial facilities.  Centra-Page features centrally-located electronics which provide
environmental protection and unitized amplification for easy maintenance.  Standard Centra-Page
cabinets can support up to 30 handset stations and in most cases up to 60 paging speakers.  Alarms and
telephone interfacing can also be added to Centra-Page systems.

The Model 10448-202 Telephone Interface is designed to couple a Centra-Page system to the public
telephone network.  The telephone line coupler is designed for loop start operation with bridged ringing.
This coupler is registered by the FCC number ADG9ZP-68744-OT-R.  The Ringer Equivalence Number
(REN) is 0.0A, with an RJ11 connection.

Installation

The Model 10448-202 Telephone Interface plugs directly into a connector in the Alarm Interface Panel
located in the Centra-Page central cabinet.  Included with the 10448-202 is a phone line with RJ11 plugs
on each end.  One end of the line plugs into the connector on the front of the Telephone Interface labeled
"TELEPHONE LINE".  The other end of the line feeds through the opening in the Alarm Interface Panel
labeled "TELEPHONE INTERFACE".  This end of the line must then be plugged into a standard RJ11C
phone jack.  To make this installation as simple as possible, the Centra-Page central cabinet should be
located near a phone jack.  For further installation details for the Alarm Interface Panel, please refer to
the instruction manual for the 10460-002.
