Installation instructions
B-2193x | B-2393x
1.3 Installation notes
y
y
Make sure the lock recess is free of swarf. Remove swarfes thoroughly from lock recess and door
profile, before mounting the locks.
y
y
Protect the connecting cable against abrasion.
We recommend to use the B 5490 0308 cable protection hose (separately available).
y
y
Open the cover on the underside of the lock and fully insert the connection plug (see Fig.).
y
y
Create a cord grip using a cable tie on the plastic connecting clip (see Fig.).
y
y
Finally, close the cover until it engages with an audible click.
y
y
Mount the lock and the vertical rods in the door. As you do so, arrange the connecting cable such
that a sufficiently large cable loop remains.
The copper-coloured transport securing devices on the triggers should remain in place until the
door system is installed in its final location.
y
y
Connect the power supply and connecting cable to the controller B-54900-01-2-8, as shown here.
y
y
Open both door leaves and make sure they cannot be closed accidentally.
y
y
Make sure that the programming plug is inserted into the controller and the display "r" appears.
y
y
Then trigger a test run via a control pulse at input I2. The motor-driven shoot-bolt lock performs
a complete work cycle (unlocking, locking).

3.
2.
Make sure that the connecting cable is not buckled or in tension and the lower vertical rod
B 9006 runs without friction!
NOTE
When making changes to or replacing individual components (controller B-54900-01-2-8,
motor-driven shoot-bolt lock B-2193x/B-2393x or connecting cable B 5490 0300) as well as
disconnecting the connecting cable, you must repeat the test run (see point 6.5)!
