Introduction
Despite the many fun things you can do with a Floyd Rose guitar, the setup work,
the awkward tuning, and the string change routine can quickly become a real
chore for you.
Also,
it’s not a simple undertaking if you want to try
other tunings or simply
switch between standard and drop tuning in a live situation, since the floating
system always needs to be set up for one specific tuning.
The
FZG Tremolo Switch
gives you the ability to lock the range of motion of your
free-floating tremolo in upward direction at any time you need it. This improves
the handling when adjusting and tuning dramatically and you can finally use the
full potential of your guitar. Activating the
Tremolo Switch
requires only a simple
hand movement. When locked, your tremolo behaves just like a vintage
tremolo, so tremoloing downwards is still possible and it also opens up new
possibilities, such as using down tunings, without having to readjust the entire
tremolo bridge.
The
Tremolo Switch
thus works as a fixed stop that defines the rest position of
the tremolo. In contrast to the widespread "wooden-block method", which is
more like a permanent fixation of the tremolo, the
FZG Tremolo Switch
can be
deactivated again at any time. This allows you to easily switch between free-
floating and "dive-only" tremolo in a matter of seconds, depending on the
situation and your preference.
The
FZG Tremolo Switch
is easy to use, can be retrofitted without much effort
and guarantees a reliable blocking of your tremolo.
