3: INSTALLATION OF THE CABLE GUIDES
The guide cables are to be installed vertically in line with the two
end mounting brackets (Fig. 3A). The cable kit includes both wall
mount and floor mount brackets, two cable and two small “barrel
nuts” for securing the cable.
Mount the appropriate bracket to the wall or floor directly in line
with the shade wall mount bracket.
Thread a nut and washer about a third of the way onto threaded
stud on the bottom of the cables.
Insert the bare end of one cable through the hole in the bottom
mount bracket; then feed through the hole in the end of the
bottom hem bar; then through the small hole on the bottom
edge of the wall bracket closest to the back of the shade. Feeding
the cable from the outside to inside on the wall mount bracket
will have the cleanest appearance
Slide the small barrel nut over the end of the cable. Pull the cable
slightly taut and tighten the screw on the barrel nut to secure. Cut
off any excess cable. If necessary, tighten the cable by turning the
nut on the bottom stud. Repeat with the second cable.
4: ATTACHING THE OPTIONAL WEATHERGUARD HOOD
Slide two “T” bolts for each wall bracket into the slots on the
underside of the hood.
Place the hood onto the brackets, center and secure with the nuts.
Install the end covers with the Phillips sheet metal screws.
If your shade is gear operated the installation is complete. If
you have an optional motor proceed to the motor section for
programming and limit switch setting instructions.
5: OPTIONAL MOTOR INSTRUCTIONS:
If your shade is equipped with a 3-wire RTS remote control
motor, please identify which motor you have and follow the
programming and limit switch settings on the next page. If your
motor has a 4-wire pigtail, please contact Futureguard for wiring
and limit setting instructions.
