MAINTENANCE,
TROUBLESHOOTING

3.1

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps maintain good performance. Check the items listed below at least 
monthly to help keep your equipment in good working order.

Maintenance table

Item

Check point, remedy

Wiring

Check that each cable and wire are securely fastened.
Refasten if necessary.

Ground

Check ground point for rust. Clean if necessary.

VHF antenna

Check VHF antenna and its cabling for damage.
Replace if necessary.

Cabinet

Dust and dirt should be removed from the cabinet with a soft, dry 
cloth. Do not use chemical-based cleaners; they can remove 
paint and markings.

WARNING

Do not open the equipment
unless totally familiar with
electrical circuits and
service manual.

Only qualified personnel
should work inside the
equipment.

NOTICE

Do not apply paint, anti-corrosive 
sealant or contact spray to coating or 
plastic parts of the equipment.

Those items contain organic solvents that 
can damage coating and plastic parts, 
especially plastic connectors.
