6. Avoid Dangerous Environment
Use your sawhorse on a clean, dry, flat, level, hard surface floor only. These sawhorses are not
designed to be used on a dirt surface or on uneven flooring. Be sure all power tools used around
horses are adequately grounded.
7. Maintain your Sawhorses
Keep leg locking mechanisms, leg pivots, and leg stops clean from dirt and dried concrete.
Each time you use your sawhorse, inspect them carefully as you unfold the legs; checking for
damaged or worn parts and for any loose bolts/nuts which attach a wood top to your sawhorse.
8. Do Not Load or Unload your Sawhorses Mechanically
Accidental dropping of the load, even the last few inches, puts excessive stress on the
sawhorses. Moving while lowering or raising the load onto or off the sawhorses will cause
serious end-load stress.
9. Using Accessories with you Sawhorse
Six #10 x 1-¼" truss bolts must be used to attach a wood top to your sawhorse when used in
conjunction with the tool mounting clamps and rolling work supports. Do not use wood screws
to attach a wood top to your sawhorse!
10. THINK SAFETY
•
Explain the limitations and hazards to these sawhorses with anyone who will be using them.
•
All leg locking pins must be engaged into the set-up position leg stops before using your
sawhorses.
•
Do Not Overload your Sawhorses. Do not use your sawhorses as a scaffold.
•
Do not work under loaded sawhorses. Use your sawhorse on a clean, dry, flat, level, hard
surface floor only.
•
Maintain your sawhorses carefully.
11. Attaching a Wood Top to your Sawhorse.
Your sawhorse has been designed with the optional installation of a wood top of your choice.
(2"x4" or 2"x6"_ 48" Length). To install a wood top, lay the horse upside down on the wood
with all four legs extended to the set-up position. Center the horse on the wood and mark the
location of the six holes. Set the horse aside. Drill six countersunk holes ½" dia. x ½" deep and
drill through a 3/16" hole. Bolt the horse to the wood via the six countersunk holes using #10 x
1-¼" bolts with truss heads.
DO NOT USE WOOD SCREWS TO ATTACH A WOOD TOP TO YOUR SAWHORSE. YOUR WOOD
TOP SHOULD BE A MAXIMUM OF 48" AND NOT PROTRUDE BEYOND THE END OF THE
SAWHORSE. A WOOD TOP DOES NOT INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF YOUR SAWHORSE.
