EN
Do not place food in the freezer in contact with already
frozen products. This will prevent the food from increasing
in temperature. In this respect, it is important to transfer fro-
zen food from compartment “
A
” to the lower “
B
” drawers.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
DO NOT
put ice cubes in your mouth and do not eat ice
lollies immediately after taking them out of the freezer, as
they can cause cold burns.
DOT NOT
introduce sealed containers with liquids, such
as drinks, etc in the freezer. Hot food and drinks must be
cooled down before placing them inside the freezer.
STORING FROZEN FOOD
It is impossible to accurately predict the effective storage
period for frozen food in that this varies considerably ac-
cording to the nature of the food itself. To be safe, always
follow the instructions reported on the packaging of frozen
food products.
SPECIAL COMPARTMENT FOR THE PRE-
SERVATION OF MEAT AND FISH
Some delicate food stuffs like meat, fish, and lightly frozen
groceries can be placed in a special box, in which the
temperature is kept constant at 0 °C.
ICE-CUBE PRODUCTION
Fill 3/4 of the ice tray with water; place it in the freezer com-
partment and inside the specific sliding drawer (if supplied).
GENERAL ADVICE:
Make sure that the packaging is intact and that there are
no damp marks or swelling, in that these indicate that the
frozen product may already have deteriorated. Any food that
has started to thaw out must not under any circumstances
be re-frozen. Do not store frozen foods for longer than the
recommended time period.
PRE-ALARM MODE AND FREEZER
TEMPERATURE
The pre-alarm mode is activated when the temperature
inside the freezer compartment reaches a value higher
than -12 °C (for example, -11 °C). This may occur in the
following situations:
- a large amount of unfrozen food has been placed in
the freezer (see freezing modes);
- the door has been open for an extended period of
time;
- the electricity supply has been cut off for a prolonged
period of time;
- the appliance has malfunctioned.
The pre-alarm mode is indicated by the temperature
appearing intermittently on the freezer display (
8
), by
the flashing white
6 ALARM
symbol and by the audible
alarm. The audible alarm may be disabled by touching
the
6 ALARM
symbol; in this case the pre-alarm mode
indicator of the flashing temperature on the display (
8
)
remains active and the
6 ALARM
symbol will remain lit in
