Pulse Search> message is displayed.
Cause : The amplitude of the pulse waveform is too low, or the sensor is not positioned
correctly.
Solution : Check if the light emitting and receiving parts of the sensor LED are aligned.
The <SpO
2
No Pulse Detect> message is displayed.
Cause : The amplitude of the pulse waveform is too low, or the sensor is not positioned
correctly.
Solution : Check if the light emitting and receiving parts of the sensor LED are aligned.
The <SpO
2
Communication Error> message is displayed.
Cause : Communication error with the SpO
2
module has occurred.
Solution : Reboot the equipment. If the same message is repeatedly displayed, a failure of the
equipment can be considered. Cease the measurement and contact our service
representative.
The <SpO
2
Motion Artifact> message is displayed.
Cause : There is excessive body motion from the patient which disables correct
measurement.
Solution 1 : Have the patient lie still.
Solution 2 : Relocate the sensor, or change the sensor to which the body motion will have less
influence.
Temperature
The temperature measurement accuracy is out of range.
Cause : The connector of temperature sensor is not clean.
Solution : Clean the connector.
The measurement data on the monitor is displayed as “

Cause : The temperature measurement is outside the measurement range.
Solution : Check if the temperature probe is properly inserted/attached.
The <TEMP Disconnected> message is displayed on the screen
Cause : When the temperature sensor is disconnected during TEMP monitoring, this
message will be displayed.
Solution : Check if the temperature probe is properly inserted/attached.
The <TEMP Unknown Sensor> message is displayed on the screen.
Cause 1 : The 700 series temperature probe may be used.
Solution : Use the 400 series temperature probe for measurement.
Cause 2 : There is a contact failure of the temperature probe.
Solution : Check if the temperature probe is properly inserted.
The <TEMP Communication Error> message is displayed on the screen.
Cause : Communication error with the TEMP board has occurred.
Solution : Reboot the equipment. If the same message is repeatedly displayed, a failure of the
equipment can be considered. Cease the measurement and contact Fukuda Denshi.
The <TEMP Out of Range> message is displayed on the screen.
Cause : The temperature measurement is outside the measurement range.
Solution : Check if the temperature probe is properly inserted.
