Basic information
The HDD or SSD and the installation frame together make up the HDD module
or SSD module.
The server is shipped with one of the following HDD or SSD subsystems:
–
3.5-inch HDD subsystem:
Up to two 3.5-inch non hot-plug SATA HDDs can be installed. The HDDs are
connected to the related controller with a cable.
–
2.5-inch HDD/SSD subsystem:
Up to eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDD/SSD modules or up to four SAS/SATA
HDD/SSD modules and up to four PCIe SSD can be installed. The module
is connected to the HDD/PCIe backplane wirelessly. This allows HDD/SSD
modules to be plugged in or pulled out easily.
For information on RAID controllers controlling the HDD/SSD modules
