Second processor
If only one processor is installed in your server blade, you can add a second
processor to it. You may only use processors of the same type. The second
processor must have the same clock frequency as the first.
Main memory expansion
The system board has a total of 9 slots for memory modules. Of these, 6 slots
are for CPU 1 and 3 slots for CPU 2.
In total, the system board supports up to 144 GB registered or 18 GB
unbuffered main memory. Memory modules with a capacity of 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB
or 16 GB can be used.
Both registered DDR 3 memory modules (RDIMM) and unbuffered DDR 3
memory modules (UDIMM) are permitted. However, you must not use a mixture
of these two module types.
I
You can find detailed information on the main memory in the technical
manual for the D3030 system board.
Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
The server can be equipped with a TPM (Trusted Platform Module). This
module enables programs from third party manufacturers to store key
information.
USB Flash Module (UFM)
The server can be equipped with a USB Flash Module (UFM).
This module can be used as optional memory for software (e.g. VMware) or as
a software dongle.
