4.2.6

Console redirection

This function sets I/O destinations of each partition's console information through an
management LAN.

The two methods below are available for OS input and output in each partition. These
methods can be set independently in each partition:

(1)

Using the COM port of the IO_Unit incorporated in each partition

(2)

Using the management LAN through the MMB

Figure 4.14

shows the flow of console information sent when the information is

redirected to the management LAN.

the management LAN can be used as a console.
