Running the Sample program

When Hardware Setup is as Figure 1:

i)

Make the Hardware set up as shown in figure 1.

ii)

Configure the jumpers J3, J4, J5, J6 as shown in table 1 (depends on the clock
used).

iii)

The preprogrammed EPROM device MBM27C256A-20TVM must be placed on
the socket. Make sure the power is switched off before inserting the device.

iv)

Connect an ex5V power supply to the board and power up the board
(Check the green power LED).

v)

If you wait for a while, your preprogrammed application will start executing.

When Hardware Setup is as Figure 2 (With Emulator):

i)

Make the Hardware set up as shown in figure 2.

ii)

Configure the jumpers J3, J4, J5, J6 as shown in table1 (depends on the clock
used).

iii)

Switch on the power supply for ICE.

iv)

Switch on the power supply for the evaluation board.

v)

Start the Softune Workbench (Fujitsu Integrated development environment) for 8-
bit Microcontroller. If you are using the Fujitsu compact-ICE the Softune
Workbench should be started with the –T2 option. To confirm this check the
property of the Softune Workbench.

vi)

Open the sample project and compile it. Set the debug mode as “emulator” and
start the debugger. Hit the Run button to execute the program.
