Modem Station. Before reading this guide, read the
following information thoroughly.
■
Do not install the Modem Station near medical elec-
tronic equipment.
■
Don’t use the Modem Station near an automatic door or
fire alarm, otherwise radio waves transmitted by the
Modem Station could affect its automatic control unit.
■
Do not insert or pull out the AC adapter with a wet
hand.
■
Insert the AC adapter firmly as far as it will go. If not,
this may cause an electric shock or a fire due to heat
generation.
■
Pull out the AC adapter immediately when you find any
abnormality. Do not use the Modem Station in the
abnormal conditions, e.g., the unit is damaged, a foreign
smell is given off, a foreign substance is put in the unit,
smoke is emitted, or the unit is heated excessively. This
may cause a fire or electric shock.
■
Do not cover or enclose the AC adapter in use. The
accumulated heat may cause a fire.
■
Do not exceed the rating of a wall outlet or wiring acces-
sories or use voltages other than 100 VAC.
■
If you do not use the AC adapter for a long time, pull
out the plug.
■
Never disassemble, repair, or modify the unit. Touching
internal components could cause you to get an electric
shock.
