Explanation
Community
Up to five communities set by the SNMP manager can be registered. Though up
to 64 characters can be entered in each text area, only one community can be set
in one text area. Characters that can be entered are alphanumeric characters and
symbols (!"#$%&'()*+'-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}). To remove a setup community
already set, delete the relevant community.
User Name
Up to five user names set by the SNMP manager can be registered. Though up to
64 characters can be entered in each text area, only one user name can be set in
one text area. Characters that can be entered are alphanumeric characters and
symbols (!"#$%&'()*+'-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}). To remove a setup community
already set, delete the relevant user name. This item is available if "v3" is speci-
fied for "SNMP Version".
Authentication
Specify whether authentication is enabled or disabled.
If authentication is enabled, access to the SNMP without the specified authenti-
cation method and password is not permitted.
Authentication Mode
Specify the authentication method.
Either "SHA" or "MD5" can be selected as the authentication method.
Authentication Password
Register a password for authentication.
From 8 to 32 characters can be entered.
Characters that can be entered are alphanumeric characters and symbols
(!"#$%&'()*+'-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}).

Enter the password for authentication again.
From 8 to 32 characters can be entered.

Encryption
Specify whether encryption is enabled or disabled.
If encryption is enabled, data is encrypted by the specified encryption method
and password.

Specify the encryption method.
Either "AES" or "DES" can be selected as the encryption method.

Register a password for encryption.
From 8 to 32 characters can be entered.

Destination IP Address
Traps will be sent to the IP address specified here.
The IP address can be entered in the text field in either of the following three for-
mats:

IPv4 format
Only numeric characters ranging from 0 to 255 can be entered in each text
area of this item.
•
IPv6 format
Alphanumeric characters can be entered.
•
DNS format
Characters that can be entered are alphanumeric characters and symbols
(!"#$%&'()*+'-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}).
