SNMP
The
SNMP
page allows you to configure the ETERNUS CS800 to send status messages
using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). The ETERNUS CS800 supports
SNMP v1 and v2c.
SNMP works by sending messages, called protocol data units (PDUs), to different parts of a
network, or communities. SNMP compliant devices, called agents, store data about
themselves in Management Information Bases (MIBs) and return this data to the SNMP
requesters.
You can configure the ETERNUS CS800 to act as an agent and send traps to a specified
destination. You can also add SNMP community information.
To access the
SNMP
page, on the
Notifications
page, click the
SNMP
tab.
