Installing and removing drives
The casing can accommodate a total of seven drives:
●
three accessible drives
(two 5¼ inch drives and one 3½ inch drive)
●
four non-accessible drives
(3½ inch drives)
"Accessible drives" are for instance DVD drives or multi-card readers into which a data medium can
be inserted from outside. "Non-accessible drives" are for example hard disk drives.
Serial ATA drives and SAS drives
You can install S-ATA drives or SAS drives (Serial Attached SCSI drives) in your device. S-ATA
drives are supported by default (refer also to the manual for the mainboard). Mixed equipment is also
possible. When simultaneously installing S-ATA hard disks and SAS hard disks, you must ensure the
proper assignment of the cables to the corresponding connectors.
