Removing and installing components during servicing

Installing a memory module

►

 

Insert the memory module with the contacts 
and the recess (a) facing the slot (1). 

►

 

Carefully push the memory module 
downwards until it engages noticeably (2). 

 

 

Mounting the cover 

►

 

Place the cover on its mounting location. 

►

 

Fasten the cover with the screws. 

►

 

Reinstall the battery (see "Using your notebook" chapter, "Inserting battery" section). 

►

 

Turn the notebook over and place it on a flat surface. 

►

 

Reconnect the cables that you disconnected before.
