Transducer surface temperature rise
The table in this section lists the measured surface temperature rise from ambient

temperatures of transducers used on the ultrasound system. The temperatures were
measured in accordance with IEC 60601-2-37:2007 with controls and settings
positioned to give maximum temperatures.

Transducer Surface Temperature Rise Limits, External Use
FUJIFILM SonoSite UHF series transducers pass surface temperature limits,
however, in certain situations, temperatures may rise to 41°C (105.8°F).
WARNING:
When the transducer scanhead is in contact with the patient,
special precautions should be considered when using the transducer on
children or on other patients who are sensitive to higher temperatures.
For example, Color Doppler Mode has higher frame rates with a maximum PRF
setting, small color box and when imaging at the following depths (per transducer):
l
UHF22 = 24 mm
l
UHF48 = 12 mm
l
UHF70 = 8 mm

Ambient temperature = 23°C ± 3°C (73.4°F ± 5.4°F) .
