7.4 Auto Cruising Zoom Operation
In auto crusng zoom operaton, the zoom moves to the tele end or the wde end at a constant speed.
Ths functon s effectve when a constant slow zoom speed s requred across the zoomng range.
Note. If the zoom lmt functon s used, the zoom wll stop at the zoom lmt postons. In ths case, the zoom
may not reach the tele end or the wde end.
Operation
a. Set the quckframe/manual zoom select knob to “ON.”
b. Press the zoom seesaw control lever and adjust the zoom speed.
c. Whle pressng the zoom seesaw control lever, press the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch.
─ The auto crusng zoom functon wll work.
d. Release your hand from the zoom seesaw control lever.
─ The zoom wll move to the tele end or the wde end at a constant speed that s determned when the
quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch s pressed.
Note. By settng an approprate swtch n the area of “Functon & Mode Select Swtches” (refer to page ),
the return swtch and the VTR swtch can be used also as a quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch.
Releasing
There are three ways to release the auto crusng zoom operaton mode.
. Press the zoom seesaw control lever on the sde of the drecton of the zoom movement.
─ When the amount of dsplacement of the zoom seesaw control lever exceeds that determned when the
auto crusng zoom operaton s set, the auto crusng zoom operaton mode wll be released.
After released, the zoom wll move contnuously toward the same drecton as moved before releasng.
(In ths way, the auto crusng zoom operaton mode can be released mantanng the smooth zoom
movement.)
. Press the zoom seesaw control lever on the reverse sde of the drecton of the zoom movement.
─ The auto crusng zoom operaton mode wll be released mmedately, and the zoom wll move toward the
reverse drecton.
. Press the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch.
─ The auto crusng zoom operaton mode wll be released mmedately, and the zoom wll stop.
