Interrupting for a Copy Job
By interrupting, you can execute an urgent copy job even when the machine is occu-
pied with a continuing copy/print job. The settings of the copy job you interrupt will not
be changed.
Note
•
During an interrupt, the following functions cannot be executed:

Executing another copy job
-
Reprinting (Copy from Memory)
-
Stored Programming
•
Sorting cannot be selected during an interrupt.
•
You cannot interrupt the copy job during scanning.

Press the <Interrupt> button on the Control
Panel.
Interrupting a copy job
The Interrupt indicator blinks indicating that the
interrupt has been requested. The current job is
suspended.
When the machine is ready for the interrupt, the
Interrupt indicator illuminates and the [Copy]
screen appears.
Interrupting a print job
The [Menu] screen appears, allowing you to
select [Copy] or [Scan].
The Interrupt indicator blinks indicating that the
interrupt has been requested. The current job is
suspended.
When the machine is ready for the interrupt, the
Interrupt indicator illuminates.

Set interruption copy conditions, such as the
ratio.

Enter the required number of copies using the
numeric keypad.

Set the document with its edge aligned to the
document guide.

When the copy job is completed, press the <Interrupt> button again.
The interruption mode is canceled, and the suspended job is resumed.
Note
•
The interruption mode will be automatically canceled and the [Basic Copy] screen reappears
after a certain duration has elapsed without any copy operation.
•
The duration after which the interruption mode is canceled can be set with "Auto Clear"
(P.214).
