When Authentication Feature is used on the Machine
The following two types of mailboxes can be used when the authentication feature
(scanner authentication) is used:
Personal Mailbox
A mailbox created by an authenticated user.
Available only for the authenticated user who created it.
System Administrator Shared Mailbox
A mailbox created by a system administrator
Only the system administrator can change the settings.
All authenticated users who use the machine can share the mailbox.
The relationship between each user and the use of mailboxes when the authentication
feature is used is as follows:
See
•
*: The authenticated user who created the personal mailbox.
Note
•
When changing the setting from the use of the authentication feature to not using the fea-
ture, authenticated users and unauthenticated users cannot use commonly shared mail-
boxes.
•
A commonly shared mailbox can be operated only by a system administrator when the
authentication feature is used.
