Power On/Off
Powering On
Ensure that the machine is connected to a suitable power supply and that the power
plug is firmly connected to the electrical outlet. For technical information, refer to
Specifications in the Appendix chapter on page 209.
The machine is ready to make copies about 25 seconds after the power is switched on.
1.
Press the power switch to the <I>
position.
NOTE: If the machine does not start up,
check that the <RESET> button on the side
of the machine is in the reset position.
Entering Numbers 1 Select [Numeric] in [Entry Mode] using the <Select> button.
2 Enter numbers using the alphanumeric keypad on the control
panel.
Entering Symbols 1 Select [Alphabet] in [Entry Mode] using the <Select> button.
2 Press the <#> button.
3 Move the cursor to select a symbol you want to enter using the
< >, < >, or, <Select> button.
4 Press the <Enter> button.
Entering Space • When entering a space at the end of the entry
Press the < > button.
• When inserting a space between the characters
Press the <0> button for a few times to insert a space.
Deleting One Press the <C> button.
