50 dBµV input with a correct quality level.
Press OK to start editing the entry. The numbers displayed on the LCD correspond to the various UHF inputs. For
example, 1 is the BIII-UHF1 and number 4 is the BIII-UHF4 entry.
The option to the right of input 1: (BIII-UHF1) will begin to flash indicating that it can be edited. Use with the

buttons on the keyboard to select one of the following options:
1. "-": If you don't want to use the preamplifiers in the selected input. If the
input signals have a level over 50 dBµV it is recommended set to
disabled.
2. "+": This option force enables the preamplifier on the input.
3. "A.": Automatic mode. Enable or disable the preamplifier depending of
the input levels.
After add or scan the channels you check this screen if the preamplifier
was enabled. The values are:
•
“A.”:
If show a dot after the “A” means the preamplifier is on.
•
“A ”:
if not show the dot after the “A” means the preamplifier is off.

3.6 Menu AUTO SCANNING
This menu can be use to scan all VHF and UHF signal received in the
selected inputs and automatically assigned filters of the channels founds. If
the same channel is detected in several inputs only will be assigned the filter
to input with the best level detected. All filters assigned to one input will be
removed in the scanning process and only add the filters of the channels
found.
The auto scanning could be not found the signals depending of the level. Consider the following case:
1. If the level of the digital signal is between 50 dBµV and 100 dBµV, the signal must be found by the auto
scan. For analogical signal the input level must be higher than 57 dBµV to avoid problem in the quality of
the signal.
2. Digital signals with good quality and an input level higher than 40 dBµV, you can try to activate the
preamplifier to amplify the input signals (see pre-amplification section).
3. Signal with input level under 50 dBµV with preamplifier off or level under 40 dBµV the signal will not be
found.
Sometime could be necessary add an external low noise preamplifier in the input to find some low level signals.
Press OK, to enter in the menu “AUTO SCANNING”. Use the buttons
