The failed operation of the evaporator fan seriously compromises the equipment performance
1. Check if the evaporator is packed with ice
An excessive formation of ice can lock the evaporator fan
2. Check that the "NTC probe defrosting" evaporator probe is not out of
calibration
Through parameter P3 = 1, the evaporator probe manages defrosting and check the operation
of the “M3” evaporator fan
check parameter set
An incorrect reading of the evaporator temperature can affect the correct operation.
Access the electronic board where the “NTC probe defrosting” evaporator probe is connected.
With the multimeter set in Ω, check that the resistive value of the probe
matches the temperature in the surrounding environment
see tab. NTC
If the resistive value is incorrect or unstable,
replace the probe
3. Make sure that the parameters that manage the evaporator fan are
set correctly
see specific board connections
4. Check the operation of the “M3” evaporator fan
Check that the “K2” relay contact, which manages the M3 evaporator fan operation, is closed.
Put the board in stand-by and disconnect voltage to the equipment;
Disconnect the frame heater cable from the electronic board K2 connector;
Power the equipment and turn on the display board;
When the display shows the evaporator fan steadily on symbol, with a multimetre check the presence of 230V
+/- 10% at the K2 connector output;
If there is no voltage at the “K2” connector output
replace the electronic board
The failed operation of the “K2” relay can cause the water to overflow from the condensate collection bowl in the
models set-
up and equipped with “E3” heater
--
> see paragraph “Water overflow from condensation collection bowl”
If there is voltage at the “K2” connector output, check the wiring to
be sure that there is power supply up to the “M3” fan
In the absence of electrical absorption
replace the fan
