The condensate drain tray is positioned in front of the evaporator unit
The water that deposits is made to evaporate through a coil where hot gas
from the compressor passes
see wiring diagram
On models set-
up for remote unit, the condensate evaporation coil is replaced by the “E3”
heater connected in parallel to the “M3” evaporator fan
see relative paragraphs
1. check that the refrigeration system works properly
The lack of refrigerant, as well as penalise performances, reduces the ability to evaporate the water inside
the bowl
see also “The compressor works but the equipment does not cool”
2. If the equipment is set-
up for remote unit, make sure that the “E3” heater works properly
ATTENTION: the “E3” heater and “M3” evaporator fan are connected in parallel. The failed operation of the “K2”
relay would seriously compromise the cooling capacity of the equipment.
Check that the “K2” relay contact, which manages the “E3” heater, is closed:
- put the board in stand-by and disconnect voltage to the equipment
-
disconnect the frame heater cable from the electronic board “K2” connector
- power the equipment and turn on the display board
-when the display shows the evaporator fan steadily on symbol, with a multimetre
check the presence of 230V +/-
10% at the “K2” connector output
If there is no voltage at the “K2” connector output
replace the electronic board
If there is voltage at the “K2” connector output, check the wiring to be
sure that there is power supply up to the “E3” heater
In the absence of electrical absorption, replace the heater
3. Very humid and hot environments with low air exchange do not help the condensation water to
evaporate, especially if the compressor works for a limited amount of time during the day
Under these conditions, on models with on-
board compressor, we recommend installing the “E3” condensate
evaporation heater in parallel with the M3 evaporator fan
To avoid the condensate evaporation coil corroding, with serious consequences to the refrigeration system,
we recommend cleaning the condensate drain tray at least once a year
see maintenance check list
